changing the nyc snackin’ game
pizzabagel was started by chef jacob cooper in february 2025. he wanted to recreate his childhood memories of eating pizzabagels after school, but nothing he found could compare - so he decided to make it his mission. there’s no food business dedicated to fresh pizzabagels besides pizzabagel!
after tinkering alone with many different bagel recipes and sizes, he ultimately settled on his core product, and then got to work perfecting a wide variety of pizza flavors he now offers.
jacob then had several dinner parties where his friends were forced (oh no, free pizzabagels!) to eat iteration after iteration, not settling until the pizzabagel came out amazing enough to serve to the general public.
two weeks later, he had his first popup in brooklyn. thanks to some rave reviews, things have taken off from there. but the fun hasn’t stopped; jacob is constantly developing new flavors week by week… you’ll rarely see the same menu twice.

we do! you can’t even buy bagels this small - ours are ~15% the size of a regular nyc bagel.

that would be telling! suffice it to say that it’s flour, water, yeast, sweetener, salt, and an overnight cold proof before boiling and baking.

a lot of practice! thousands and thousands of tiny bagels were made before finalizing that perfect size.
